Here’s an obituary found at the Yates County (NY) Genealogical and Historical Society.
Arthur T. Copson
Arthur T. Copson, formerly of Bluff Point, died Monday, April 24, 1967, following a long illness.
He retired from the Western Union in Oswego in 1965, following 55 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Dick Copson; sisters, Mrs. Shirley McNulty of Painted Post and Mrs. Lucy Disbrow of Bluff Point; brother, Donald Copson of Newcastle, Pa.; several neices and nephews.
Funeral services and burial were in Oswego.
Mrs. Shirley McNulty was my grandmother. She wrote a biography that outlined the family tree and antics of her extended family, who settled heavily in the Keuka Lake area as grape farmers, but almost all (if not all) have moved away from the area. I found your blog because I am planning a visit to the Keuka Lake State Park with my father and we are going to try to find the original home site and vineyards that my grandmother grew up tending.
